After speaking to parents and community members, the need for such a program became even more apparent. In July 2006 the OK 2b me Positive Self Image School Program was developed to raise self confidence and help young people become more accepting of themselves and others.

Why develop Ok 2b me®?

I first became aware of the real concerns regarding self image in our society whilst working as an Image and Colour consultant throughout major department stores in Sydney in 1993.

During private consultations I was told about personal dissatisfaction with my client's body image and this message was repeated continually. Even though I was aware that many people suffered from body image issues at some time in their life, I was surprised at the extent of dissatisfaction and I wondered what I could do to help turn this around and help people appreciate their own individuality.

I began to change the format of my consultations to include a positive self image component and found I was able to help my clients to appreciate their own uniqueness. When the positive aspects of our appearance are recognised and highlighted the areas of dissatisfaction begin to dissipate and become unimportant.

After moving to the Central Coast I completed a Diploma in Colour Therapy with Shirley Darby in 2001/2002 and in 2004 became the President of The Colour Therapy Association of Australia. I developed my own Positive Self Image Workshops and guided Image Meditations and presented components to many groups that included:
